We chose this hotel as it was close to Central Park, where we were getting married, and was within our budget. It was 15 mins in an Uber to the entrance we needed to be at for the park. The location is perfect! It was our second time to NYC so knew our way around a bit. For a first timer this is a great location. Also subway stations round the corner so was really handy. Our room was small but we knew this as typical New York. But it was fine for getting ready in the morning, just the 2 of us. Decent sized bathroom and shower! Bathroom mirror really big with great lighting for getting ready. Also, soap, shower gel and shampoo provided. You were able to get fresh towels and bedding when you wished, there was a wee card telling you what to do to do this. PLENTY of USB plugs throughout the room, next to bed on BOTH sides as well as the side where tv and dressing table was. Was able to charge our phones using the usbs. Also normal sockets too for plugging in hairdryer etc. Full length mirror also next to a plug socket which I love about hotels, makes getting ready easier. Was perfect for doing hair and make up especially on our wedding day. Good sized tv with plenty of channels to watch. Also safe, Air con and iron and ironing board in our room as well. Yes okay breakfast area was small but we realised there was takeaway boxes available, so you were able to make breakfast: Bagels, toast, cereal. Was plenty of muffins, jam, fruit etc and take up to room. Also stations for drinks: Water, fruit juices, tea, coffee and small cups and takeaway coffee style cups to take drinks away too. The drinks station was available all day and night so could pop down anytime for a drink. We used the water from the drinks station to refill our bottles of water each day and night before heading out. We didn't make use of the cheese and wine hour as we were usually out at this time but would have been lovely I'm sure, a nice touch.

Smart, budget hotel. I think it was newly renovated or built. I found the hotel, room and bathroom clean and hygienic. No smell or odor which usually you find in an old or rundown hotel. Furniture was also clean and not rundown with a small working area and chair. Several power sockets in the room however all American sockets, you can ask the reception to provide you an adaptor, if available they will give you one, I did and received one which I returned at check-out. The hotel offers breakfast from 7:00 - 10:00 a.m. and refreshments from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. (if my memory serves me right). Both were included in my room but unfortunately I did not try since I prefer to explore the local restaurants. You can also find coffee machine, water from fountain etc. at the restaurant area which you can access all times. No coffee machine in the room. The room has a small, drawer refrigerator you can use for drinks. Excellent location: If this is your first time in Manhattan and you plan to explore primarily Manhattan, this is an excellent location close to almost all subway lines. Central park is at two blocks distance. The street is not noisy. The room was small considering I live in Middle East and here the hotels rooms are quit large and spacious. But I believe the hotel and rooms were designed by NYC standards.

The proximity to all the places we visited and we visited lots in our time there, it was a 10 min walk to Central Park. The room was a decent size and met our needs 😊 no shower cap in bathroom but I read this on reviews so I had taken my own. The reception staff were very friendly and always had a smile on their face. The breakfast area is small but to be honest not a real problem as there is takeout boxes so you can take it up to your room ( we did this on a couple of mornings)the cheese and wine hour every night is a bonus 😁(free) you are also able to get tea coffee juices and water at any time of the day(free) ho and the toiletries are Rituals ( I love rituals) All in all this is a great hotel and if were to return to New York we would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to our friends.

Location is perfect. just near the subway. straight to JFK! I don't know who are the people that complain about the breakfast, its not common to have any breakfast at all. And yes you don't have eggs and bacon, but you have: yogurts, some bread for choice, oatmeals, cereals, some fruits, 3-4 kinds of juices, some jam and honey, toaster, 5-8 coffee option from coffee machine include hot chocolat. As well you can drink coffee ALL DAY the machine is completely free!! as well you can fill water when you want totally free. I liked the stuff. we had great talks and the were very helpful. The room is nice, not small as in Paris. Very clean room. room was cleaned every day. I really enjoyed the place.

This charming European-style hotel is new to us and is now our go-to place for the Central Park South area. Sandwiched between two larger buildings it has only six rooms per floor, small but very comfortable in the European modern mode. Excellent pillows. Right across the street from the stage door entry to Carnegie Hall, there are numerous good restaurants within easy walking distance at a range of price points from reasonable for the area to stupid expensive. Included continental breakfast and wine bar. The staff is welcoming and admirably well-trained.
